Complete Data Capture and Management

This unique application leverages the power of data to enable your modelers to connect information to Visio diagram objects for extended clarity that can be used in reports, analysis and a multitude of other applications. Customers can choose to import diagrams already created in Visio and analyze the resulting metamodel and data created using our DE2M analytical tools; or begin modeling with our prebuilt 'data enabled' Visio stencils (templates).

All data from Microsoft Visio is saved into DE2 Repository including all relationships present on a diagram. All data can be edited in Visio or DE2 Repository and synchronized between the two tools.

Support for Any Stencil or Diagram

No need to redraw anything! DE2M supports all stencils and diagrams from Visio 2007 professional and earlier versions. Save your investment in modeling time and move forward. While other tools force you into using their limited frameworks and their way of thinking, DE2M reads all attributes from your stencils and automatically extends your metamodel inside of DE2R to support the data. This allows you to communicate how you want to, saving you valuable time that would be otherwise wasted redrawing, relearning, and reteaching a new way of thinking.

View Diagrams Online

View your Visio diagrams online as Navigable SVG images with hyperlinks, pan, and zoom. Once your Visio Diagrams are saved through DE2M to DE2R, not only will all the data be captured in DE2R but the diagrams themselves will be hosted through DE2R as navigable SVGs. Each object on the diagram when viewed through DE2R as an SVG maintains a hyperlink to the corresponding items detail page. This means that you can click on an object on the SVG and be taken directly to the page where you can edit the data for that object.

Full Featured Online Reporting

Analyze data across all your diagrams with powerful online reporting. Use your own queries or those we provide for a quick start. Out of the box we provide several reports to help you quickly find problem areas in your data. Creating your own reports can be done using a simple query wizard or through writing entirely custom SQL statements for powerful reports. Reports can easily be organized into portals and dashboards and security controlled to create the best user experience for your team while providing you the power to segment your data.

We also provide comprehensive portal packages full of reports with our framework extensions if you have chosen to purchase one of those.

Complex Reporting Capabilities

Your analysis and decision making requires flexibility to communicate data. Whether you want to create a pie chart, bar graph, thermometer, speedometer or more, DE2R comes with many options to choose from. Changing from one chart type to another in a given category (such as a pie chart to a bar chart) is as simple as a single click. This can even be set to be user specific so that individual users can see the same report in the way they choose to view it. Below are just a few examples of various reports.

Tabular Reports

Charts and Graphs are wonderful but sometimes tables are the best option. Our tabular reports can be sorted, ordered, searched, and even exported to Excel and Adobe PDF with just a click! This provides you with the right tool for the right job. You can mix and match tabular and visual charts on the same portals or dashboards. This can save time when all the reports someone needs are displayed fully on one page.

Flexible and Customizable Metamodel

With DE2 Repository and DE2M there are no restrictions to the data you can capture, transform and optimize. Both support a fully customizable metamodel and multiple ways to import data. Extending the metamodel under the hood is as simple as using another stencil or adding an attribute to a stencil and then importing through DE2M or adding a Class or attribute to a Class in DE2R through Class Manager. Class manager is a visual interface for managing your metamodel through DE2R, allowing you to easily relate various parts, set security measures, add or remove attributes, or create entirely new classes. A class is synonymous with a table in Oracle except it has extended metadata associated with it.

Prebuilt Navigation, Portals and Reports

Analysis from the start. Several reports and portals are automatically created for you! Just like the reports mentioned earlier, we provide some basic portals out of the box such as a portal landing page (with several sub pages) for each project you create. These portals can be fully customized just like any other page in DE2R.

Custom Portals

There is no limit to your DE2 Repository experience. Whether you want to create custom navigation, pages, images, animations, sounds, movies, or anything else you would find on any other webpage, it is possible in DE2R. Instead of adding customization as an afterthought, DE2R was built around the principle of not only allowing you to fully customize it but also helping you customize it. You can have a professional web designer come in and create fully custom pages or you can simply use a wizard to change simple settings on any portal page, report, and more.

Multiple Projects - One Repository

Your project can share a single DE2 repository while controlling access with individual project permissions. Allow managers to view and coordinate across many projects.
